We are thrilled to announce the Teeny Tiny Summit series themed "Engage and Energize – Empowering Teeny Tiny Places" taking place on April 29 in Manitouwadge, ON.

Teeny Tiny Summits bring together community and professionals to share practical examples, lessons learned and community economic development tactics that are scale appropriate for Ontario’s smallest communities.
The 2025 Summit, themed "Engage and Energize - Empowering Teeny Tiny Places" kicks off with a keynote by renowned community enthusiast and social capitalist, Peter Kenyon from the organization Bank of IDEAS based in Perth, Australia.
Peter's keynote "Empowering Communities" will cover topics such as:
1. Continually developing proactive and shared leadership around the six key functions of leadership
2. Building a positive community mindset focused on positivity and a can-do attitude
3. Cultivating healthy community-building practices that strengthen community ownership, engagement, and collaborative actions
4. Implementing initiatives that support a vibrant and enterprising local economy, diverse employment opportunities and local economic ownership

Peter Kenyon, Director of the Bank of IDEAS, has over 40 years of experience in community and economic transformation. Peter is passionate about small rural town reinvention and has worked with over two thousand rural communities to spark their own ideas and invest in building sustainable economic futures. He has hosted the National Rural Aid ‘Small Town Reinvention’ national webinar program, lectured in graduate ‘Rural Entrepreneurial Development’ units, coordinated the “Community Builders” grassroots leadership program across Australia, formulated 200+ small town ‘Community Action Plans,’ and authored 25+ publications in the fields of community, enterprise, and youth development.
Teeny Tiny Summits started in 2016 as a forum to share practical examples, lessons learned and community economic development tactics. Teeny Tiny Summits have been held in every region of the province and attracted more than 3,000 attendees both in person and virtually. Teeny Tiny Summits area partnership the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA), the Ministry of Rural Affairs, and our host community of the County of Manitouwadge.
